I had the opportunity to assist on an expedition to promote and test the limits of the Nokia 808 Pureview 41 megapixel cameraphone. We took the phone to Iceland and sent it to the edge of the stratosphere to take images of the incredible terrain and, ultimately, of the curve of the earth.

We secured the phone in a polystyrene box with a sealed window and sent it 34km into the sky, attached to a weather balloon. After some initial battles with the harsh Icelandic weather, our second launch captured some images that perfectly conveyed the power of the camera and the beauty of
the earth.
