To mark the launch of the Google Assistant on Sonos speakers, I led the team at Anyways as we designed and executed a 3 day, fully immersive, brand activation in New York. Taking over a space in Soho, we built three experiential rooms that allowed visitors to step into a deep listening experience.

In the first room we animated a new track from Holly Herndon across 18 speakers and 1,720 LED globes, creating a 3D sound and light experience. In the second room we build 5 lit sculptures, each playing a different stem of the song Rylan by The National. This allowed visitors to step inside the song and see how it is structured. In the third room visitors could wear an EEG brain sensing headband to see how their brain reacted to different genres of music. We worked closely with interactive installation artists Dave and Gabe to bring these rooms to life.

We also designed a Sound Lounge area for visitors to relax in and programmed two evenings of live events - a talk on Ai in music from Holly Herndon and a screening of a new short film from Mike Mills and The National.
